In early 2007, Corrie ("Cori") released an album of songs dedicated to and about the profession of truck driving. Entitled, “Stand Up For Truckers,” the new CD documents the plight, good and bad, that truckers face out on the road. Described as a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, and whole lot of truckin’, the music appeals to all ages and musical tastes. From the gospel-driven song “All Roads Don’t Lead to Heaven” to the funky hip-hop sound of “Left Lane Livin,” this album covers a wide gamut of musical styles - but it’s heart is good ‘ole country music. About 80% of the songs were actually written by truck drivers and one was written by Bill Mack. Her single “What’s Goin’ On” is currently being played on radio stations nationwide and she just shot her first music video for the song “Mud Flap Mama.” The album, which is the brainchild of producers John Long and Doug Widdifield, was made to salute the truck drivers that keep our country moving. John, a truck driver himself, has 2 million miles under his belt. If you like truck drivin’ country music, you’ll like this album. The CD “Stand Up For Truckers” is currently available on iTunes.com and in truck stops such as Flying J, Petro, TA, Pilot and many independent locations across the country.
